Our history

Talking about Alhazmi Company for Exchange is a talking about a name which has prestige and roots in the sector of Money exchange in Yemen.

The beginning point of the pathway

It was established in 1993 when the founder/ Mohammed Abdo Alhazmi decided to open a money exchange store in Taiz city as the beginning point.

In 1996, the legal form was amended to Alhazmi Company for Exchange (Individual Company).

Alhazmi Company for Exchange, in its first business activity, was focusing mainly on foreign transfers (outward remittances) for Yemeni expatriates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was the first window through which foreign transfers of Yemeni expatriates into our homeland flowed, which paved the way for business activity to take advantage of the opportunities and benefits offered by Alhazmi Company for Exchange in money transfers.    

New vision:

In 1998, after the death of the founder, the company management was transferred to his son Dr. Khaled Alhazmi, who has assumed the responsibility of managing it as an individual company, adopting a new policy based on the principles set by the founder.

Turning point:

Over the years, local and international circumstances and changes have imposed themselves on the reality of banking activity in Yemen. It started to expand and grow rapidly; Alhazmi Company for Exchange had to keep pace with this; it gradually started expanding its activity at national and international level and it changed from money exchange company to partnership Exchange Company in 2010.
